प्रतिभा मंच 2025: हिंदी प्रतिभा का उत्सव
लायंस इंग्लिश स्कूल, सिलवासा में हिंदी साहित्य की समृद्ध सुगंध एक बार फिर महक उठी, जब हिंदी विभाग ने 29 अगस्त 2025 को स्कूल के सम्मेलन कक्ष में चौथी अंतर-विद्यालयी लायनाइट्स हिंदी प्रतियोगिता प्रतिभा मंच का भव्य आयोजन किया। 13 विद्यालयों की सक्रिय भागीदारी ने इस आयोजन को भाषा और रचनात्मकता का अद्भुत उत्सव बना दिया।
कार्यक्रम का शुभारंभ दीप प्रज्वलन से हुआ जिसके पश्चात विद्यालय गीत एवं स्वागत गीत ने वातावरण को उल्लास और ऊष्मा से भर दिया।
इस कार्यक्रम में पधारे हुए गणमान्य अतिथियों का सम्मान पुस्तकों से किया गया तत्पश्चात विद्यालय की प्रधानाचार्या श्रीमती निराली पारेख ने अपने स्वागत भाषण में सभी का हार्दिक अभिनंदन करते हुए प्रतिभागियों को आत्मविश्वास के साथ प्रस्तुति देने हेतु प्रेरित किया। इस अवसर पर संस्था के अध्यक्ष महोदय एवं कार्यक्रम के मुख्य अतिथि श्री फतेहसिंहजी एम.चौहान की उपस्थिति ने कार्यक्रम को और अधिक ग़रिमामयी बना दिया। उनका मार्गदर्शन सदैव विद्यालय परिवार के लिए प्रेरणा का स्रोत रहा है।

इस कार्यक्रम के निर्णायकों ने विद्यार्थियों की गहन तैयारी एवं उत्साह की सराहना करते हुए आयोजकों को धन्यवाद ज्ञापित किया। उन्हें स्मृति-चिह्न भेंट स्वरूप प्रदान किए गए।
अध्यक्ष महोदय श्री फतेहसिंहजी चौहान ने अपने उद्बोधन में राष्ट्रकवि रामधारी सिंह ‘दिनकर’ और मैथिलीशरण गुप्त को श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित करते हुए कहा कि उनकी रचनाएँ आज भी नई पीढ़ी को प्रेरणा देती हैं। उन्होंने प्रतिभा मंच की दूरदर्शी परिकल्पना तथा शिक्षकों के समर्पण की सराहना की और सभी प्रतिभागियों को आशीर्वाद देते हुए हिंदी की मशाल को और भी उज्ज्वल रूप से आगे बढ़ाने का आह्वान किया।
समापन में प्रतिभागियों व अतिथियों के लिए जलपान की व्यवस्था की गई।
कार्यक्रम का समापन हिंदी विभागाध्यक्षा श्रीमती सुमन चौधरी ने धन्यवाद ज्ञापन के बाद राष्ट्रगान के साथ संपन्न हुआ।
प्रतिभा मंच 2025 केवल एक प्रतियोगिता नहीं, बल्कि हिंदी की सुंदरता और शक्ति का भव्य उत्सव था।

Interschool English Competition – SPEAKFEST 2025
Words have the power to inspire, influence and ignite minds, and Speakfest 2025 proved to be a shining example of this belief. Lions English School proudly hosted this annual interschool celebration of English oratory and intellect on 8th August 2025, bringing together young voices from 13 schools in and around Silvassa for a day of spirited competition and literary expression.
The event was graced by the presence of Guest of Honour Hon’ble Vice Chairman Shri Anantraoji D. Nikam, Secretary Shri Kuldeep Singh Moondra, Treasurer Shri Vishvesh Dave, Principal of Smt Devkiba Mohansinhji Chauhan College of Commerce and Science Dr Seema Pillai, Vice-principal Dr Janvi Arekar, Principal of Haveli Institute of Legal Studies and Research Dr Shilpa Tiwari, Principal of the School Mrs Nirali Parekh, Vice-principal Mrs Parul Gupta, teachers, along with esteemed judges Shri A. K. Joshi and Shri Harisinh P. Solanki, both former District Education Officers. Mentor teachers and enthusiastic students added to the vibrant atmosphere.
The programme began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, followed by the School Anthem. The dignitaries were then welcomed with books by famous writers, symbolising the spirit of learning. A melodious welcome song set the tone for the day, after which Principal Mrs Nirali Parekh delivered a warm welcome address. The competitions commenced with: Recitation for std. III–V, Elocution for std. VI–VIII on the topic ‘Education Beyond Books’, Declamation for std. IX–X and Debate for std. XI–XII on the topic ‘Is Cashless Society Beneficial or Risky?’ In between the contests, the audience was treated to a musical poetry recital by the students of Lions English School. The poem, dedicated to the school, was penned by Mrs Jyoti Rathore (Faculty of English Department & Media Head) and composed by Mrs Renu Sharma (HOD of Music Department).
In his address, Hon’ble Vice-chairman Shri Anantraoji D. Nikam appreciated the meticulous organisation of Speakfest, especially commending the debate session where the rebuttal round showcased exceptional conversational skills. He expressed hope that in future years, the event would be conducted on an even larger platform.

The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Mrs. Vidya Shaj, HOD of the English Department, followed by the National Anthem, leaving everyone inspired by the spirit of healthy competition and eloquence. Refreshments were also provided to all attendees, adding to the warmth and hospitality of the occasion. Speakfest 2025 thus came to a memorable close, celebrating not just the art of speech but also the spirit of participation and shared learning among the participating schools.

Lionites Sargam 2025 – A Melodious Celebration of Talent
Music has the unique power to bridge hearts, stir emotions and create harmony – and this essence came alive at Lionites Sargam 2025, the 4th Interschool Singing Competition hosted by Lions English School, Silvassa, on 28th July 2025. The event brought together young singers from different schools to celebrate Indian music in different styles.
The programme began with the auspicious lighting of the lamp, followed by a warm welcome extended to the dignitaries. This was followed by a welcome address delivered by the Principal Mrs. Nirali Parekh. The occasion was graced by the presence of the Chief Guest Hon’ble Chairman Shri Fatehsinhji M. Chauhan and the Guest of Honour Hon’ble Vice-chairman Shri Anantraoji D. Nikam. Also present were Treasurer Shri Vishvesh Dave, Principal of Haveli Institute of Legal Studies and Research Dr. Shilpa Tiwari, Principal of the school Mrs. Nirali Parekh, Vice-principal Mrs. Parul Gupta, mentor teachers, participants from various schools, and other distinguished guests.
The event was judged by two esteemed experts in the field of music — Shri Rahul Pandya and Shri Naran Tandel — who brought their rich experience and musical talent to evaluate the performances. Participants from 9 schools across Silvassa and nearby areas took part enthusiastically, guided by their mentor teachers. Teachers of Lions English School also played a significant role in coordinating and supporting the event. In between the performances, refreshments were served, creating a cheerful and relaxed atmosphere. While results were being finalized, Dr. Shilpa Tiwari, Shri Vishvesh Dave, Mrs. Renu Sharma (Head of Music Department), Mr. Ashish Rajani (English Department), along with a few mentor teachers, lightened the mood with impromptu singing performances.
One of the judges, Shri Rahul Pandya, addressed the gathering with words of encouragement. He appreciated the participants’ performances and shared some helpful tips with the mentor teachers to further improve their students’ musical abilities. As a mark of appreciation, tokens of love were presented to both the judges.
Hon’ble Chairman Sir also addressed the audience. He extended warm wishes for the month of Shravan, offered salutations to Lord Shiva and Goddess Saraswati, and congratulated the participants and mentor teachers. He emphasized that the main purpose of organizing such competitions is to help students develop their talents along with their education. He also acknowledged the judges and beautifully concluded by stating that music is a powerful medium through which emotions and feelings are best conveyed.
Mrs. Renu Sharma then extended a warm vote of thanks, appreciating the contributions of all who made the event a grand success. Finally, the much-awaited prize distribution took place:

Lionet Mindspace 2025: A Showcase of Digital Talent
The Computer Department of Lions English School, Silvassa, successfully organized Lionet Mindspace – an Interschool IT Talent Show 2025 on 28th June 2025. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 12 schools, with students showcasing their talent, creativity and innovation across a range of IT-related competitions. More than just a competition, Lionet Mindspace served as a platform for students to showcase their digital skills, think critically and gain exposure to real-world tech applications.
The programme began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Treasurer Shri Vishvesh Dave, Dr. Anukool Nikam, esteemed Judges Ms. Jyotsna Bhubanesh (Assistant Professor, R K Desai Achchhariwala, College of Computer and Applied Science) and Ms. Purvi Bhandari (Educator, Govt. Higher Secondary School, Galonda), Principal Mrs. Nirali Parekh, Vice Principal Mrs. Parul Gupta and Computer HOD Mrs. Rakhi Parmar. The dignitaries were warmly welcomed, and the event officially commenced with a welcome speech delivered by the Principal Mrs Nirali Parekh.
The competitions conducted under the event included Robotics, Block Coding, Eco Art using E-waste, PowerPoint Presentation, IoT/Smart Automation, Web Development and Coding/Programming.
The Prize Distribution Ceremony was presided over by the Chief Guest Hon’ble Chairman Shri Fatehsinhji M. Chauhan and Treasurer Shri Vishvesh Dave. Hon’ble Chairman congratulated all the winners and participants. Sir said that computer knowledge is important in every field today and added that smart work should go hand in hand with hard work. As a mark of gratitude, the judges were honoured with Thanksgiving Letters, and gifts were presented by Hon’ble Chairman. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Computer HOD Mrs. Rakhi Parmar, followed by the National Anthem.
The event was a true celebration of innovation, teamwork and digital brilliance.

Interschool English Competitions ‘SpeakFest 2024’
Lions English School proudly hosted the Interschool English Competition – SpeakFest 2024, a vibrant celebration of the art of public speaking, on 9th August 2024. The event commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp. This was followed by an inspiring welcome speech by the I/c Principal Mrs. Nirali Parekh. The gathering was honoured by the presence of Guest of Honour Hon’ble Vice-chairman Shri Anantraoji D Nikam, I/c Principals of our colleges Dr Seema Pillai and Dr Shilpa Tiwari, and Head of the Academic Council Dr Nisha Parekh.
The competition drew participants from around 13 schools in and around Silvassa, all eager to showcase their skills across four categories: Recitation, Elocution, Declamation and Debate. The event was expertly judged by the Retd. District Education Officer Mr A. K. Joshi and English Professor from Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Govt. College Dr Ramchandra Joshi, whose vast experience and insight added significant value to the competition.
The Recitation Competition, which featured students from std III to V, captivated the audience as the young participants brought poems to life with their expressive delivery and heartfelt emotions. In the Elocution Competition for std VI to VIII, participants displayed remarkable oratory skills, delivering well-prepared speech on the topic “The Importance of Emotional Intelligence in Modern Education”, with clarity, confidence and command over language. The Declamation Competition for std IX and X saw students passionately recreating famous speeches, effectively capturing the essence of the original speakers. The highlight of the day was the Debate Competition for std XI and XII, where the students engaged in a spirited discussion on the topic “Is Artificial Intelligence a Threat to Humanity?” The participants impressed everyone with their logical arguments, sharp cross-questioning and ability to defend their positions with conviction. During the break, refreshments were provided to everyone, and special chocolates were distributed to all attendees, enhancing the cheerful atmosphere of the event.
A teacher from the English Department recited a poem that resonated with the theme of the programme, inspiring and encouraging everyone present. The Judges addressed the gathering, appreciating the participants and offering valuable tips to the mentor teachers and students. The Hon’ble Guest of Honour also addressed the gathering with an inspiring and motivating speech, encouraging students to excel in public speaking. Both judges were given tokens of love as a mark of gratitude. Finally, the much-anticipated prize distribution took place, celebrating the hard work and talent of the participants in each category. In category 1 (std III – V), 1st prize was bagged by Lions English School, 2nd prize Advaita Gurukul, 3rd prize Shri L. G. Haria Multipurpose School and consolation was received by Mount Litera Zee School. In category 2 (std VI – VIII), 1st prize was won by Shri L. G. Haria Multipurpose School, 2nd prize Jiwrajka International School, 3rd prize Advaita Gurukul and consolation by Fellowship Mission School, Vapi. In category 3 (std IX and X), 1st prize was received by Atul Vidyalaya, 2nd prize Jiwrajka International School, 3rd prize Lions English School and consolation by Shri L. G. Haria Multipurpose School. In category 4 (std XI and XII), for supporting the motion, 1st prize was bagged by St. Xavier’s School Silvassa, 2nd prize Shri L. G. Haria Multipurpose School, 3rd prize Lions English School and consolation by Prabhat Scholars Academy. For opposing the motion, 1st prize was bagged by Lions English School, 2nd prize Shri L. G. Haria Multipurpose School, 3rd prize Fellowship Mission School, Vapi and consolation by St. Xavier’s School Silvassa.
Participation certificates were awarded to all participants. The programme ended on a patriotic note with the National Anthem. SpeakFest 2024 was a great success, with each performance reflecting the hard work, dedication and passion of the participants and their mentors. The atmosphere throughout the day was filled with enthusiasm, creativity and a spirit of healthy competition, making the event a memorable and enriching experience for all involved.

*तृतीय लायनाइट सरगम प्रतियोगिता: स्कूली बच्चों ने जमकर प्रदर्शित की गायन प्रतिभा*
सिलवासा:लायंस इंग्लिश स्कूल (LES) में 24 जुलाई,2024 को बहुप्रतीक्षित तृतीय अंतर विद्यालयी गायन प्रतियोगिता *लॉइनाइट सरगम* आयोजित की गई जिसमें प्रदेश के 14 प्रतिष्ठित विद्यालयों के 279 विद्यार्थियों ने भाग लिया और अपनी असाधारण गायन प्रतिभाओं की श्रंखला का प्रदर्शन किया।
इस संगीतमय आयोजन का शुभारंभ लायंस क्लब ऑफ सिलवासा चैरिटेबल ट्रस्ट के उपाध्यक्ष महोदय श्री अनंतराव डी जी निकम, कोषाध्यक्ष श्री विश्वेश दवे,निर्णायक गण श्रीमती अनेरी भवसर (संगीत शिक्षिका,एकलव्य स्कूल), श्री राहुल पंड्या(आकाशवाणी टेक्नीशियन, दमन), विद्यालय की प्रभारी प्रधानाचार्या श्रीमती निराली पारेख एवम् संगीत विभाग की विभागध्यक्षा श्रीमती रेणु शर्मा के कर कमलों द्वारा दीप प्रज्जवलन के साथ हुआ।
जिसके पश्चात् सभी अतिथिगणों का पुष्प गुच्छ द्वारा सत्कार किया गया एवम् विद्यालय की प्रभारी प्रधानाचार्या श्रीमती निराली पारेख ने स्वागत भाषण द्वारा कार्यक्रम को संबोधित किया।
इस प्रतियोगिता को चार वर्ग में आयोजित किया गया जिसमें प्रथम वर्ग देशभक्ति गीत, द्वितीय वर्ग लोक गीत, तृतीय वर्ग फिल्मी गीत एवम् चतुर्थ वर्ग अर्धशास्त्रीय/सूफी गीत का था।
*प्रथम वर्ग (देशभक्ति गीत*)
प्रथम वर्ग की प्रतियोगिता तीसरी से पांचवी कक्षा के विद्यार्थियों के लिए थी जिसमें लायंस इंग्लिश स्कूल ने पहला स्थान प्राप्त किया,जबकि केंद्रीय विद्यालय दूसरे स्थान पर रहा,जीवराजका इंटरनेशनल स्कूल ने तीसरा स्थान हासिल किया एवम् स्वामीनारायण स्कूल को सांत्वना पुरस्कार मिला।
*द्वितीय वर्ग (लोक गीत)*
द्वितीय वर्ग की प्रतियोगिता में कक्षा छठी से आठवीं के विद्यार्थियों ने भाग लिया जिसमें प्रभात स्कॉलर्स एकेडमी ने पहले,जीवराजका इंटरनेशनल स्कूल ने दूसरे एवम् लायंस इंग्लिश स्कूल ने तीसरे स्थान पर बाजी मारी एवम् सांत्वना पुरस्कार स्वामीनारायण स्कूल ने प्राप्त किया।
*तृतीय वर्ग (Bollywood song)*
तृतीय वर्ग की प्रतियोगिता नौवीं और दसवीं कक्षा के विद्यार्थियों के लिए थी।इस वर्ग में माउंट लिट्रा स्कूल ने पहला स्थान,ज्ञानधाम स्कूल ने दूसरा, लायंस इंग्लिश स्कूल ने तीसरा एवम् जीवराजका इंटरनेशनल स्कूल ने सांत्वना पुरस्कार हासिल किया।
*चतुर्थ वर्ग (अर्धशास्त्रीय संगीत/सूफी)*
चौथे वर्ग की प्रतियोगिता में कक्षा 11वीं एवम् 12वीं के विद्यार्थियों ने भाग लिया और पहले स्थान पर जेवियर्स स्कूल,दूसरे पर लायंस इंग्लिश स्कूल,तीसरे स्थान पर स्वामीनारायण स्कूल रहे एवम् सांत्वना पुरस्कार ज्ञानधाम स्कूल ने जीता।
कार्यक्रम में निर्णायक रहे श्री राहुल पंड्या ने सभी विद्यार्थियों की सराहना की,विजेताओं को बधाई दी तथा भाग लेने वाले सभी प्रतिभागियों का उत्साहवर्धन किया। उन्होंने उपस्थित सभी बच्चों को प्रतियोगिताओं में भाग लेने के लिए प्रेरित किया जिससे उनके अंदर छिपी प्रतिभा उभर कर आ सके।
इस कार्यक्रम में संस्था के सचिव श्री कुलदीप सिंह मूंदड़ा,संयुक्त कोषाध्यक्ष श्री जयेंद्रसिंह राठौड,श्रीमती देवकीबा मोहनसिंहजी चौहान कॉलेज ऑफ कॉमर्स एंड साइंस की प्रभारी प्राचार्या डॉ सीमा पिल्लई,हवेली इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ लीगल स्ट्डीज एंड रिसर्च की प्रभारी प्राचार्या डॉ निशा पारेख,उप प्राचार्या (IQAC Coordinator)श्रीमती जान्हवी अरेकर,विद्यालय के शिक्षकगण तथा छात्र-छात्राएं उपस्थित रहे।
सांस्कृतिक विविधता का यह कार्यक्रम उपस्थित सभी लोगों के लिए एक अविस्मरणीय अनुभव बन गया।
इस सुमधुर कार्यक्रम का समापन श्रीमती रेणु शर्मा के धन्यवाद प्रस्ताव के बाद राष्ट्रगान के साथ हुआ।
Peace Poster Making Competition
Lions Club of Silvassa conducted Interschool Peace poster making competition in our school today . Our student Devesh Rana of std VIll secured second position and Aarav Nainani of std VI secured third position. They are awarded with a certificate and cash prize. Congratulations to both the students and their guide teacher Mrs Shobha Amdavadi 💐💐💐
