Assessment Pattern ( I – V)

  1. Two terms of 100 Marks Each.

Each term includes

  1. Scholastic Area.
  2. Internal assessment : 20 marks

Co-Scholastic Activities: These Activities will be graded on a 5- point grading scale (A-E). These include Work

Education, Art Education and Health & Physical Education.

Discipline: This element will be assessed on a 5-point grading scale (A-E) on the basis of Attendance, Sincerity,

Behavior and  Values.

Assessment Pattern ( VI-VIII)

  1. Two terms of 100 Marks Each.

     Each term includes

  1. Scholastic Area.
  2. Internal assessment : 20 marks

    This includes

  •  One Periodic Written Test of 40 marks reduced to 10 marks.
  •  Notebook submission having a weightage of 5 marks assessed on the basis of regularity, assignment completion, neatness and upkeep of notebook.
  • Subject Enrichment Activities like Speaking and Listening skills for languages, Practical Lab work for Science, Math Lab Practical Work, Map Work and Project Work for Social Science etc.will have a  weightage of 5 marks
  • Half yearly Exam of 80 marks.

Co-Scholastic Activities: These Activities will be graded on a 5- point grading scale (A-E). These include Work

Education, Art Education and Health & Physical Education.

 Assessment Pattern ( IX & X)

  1. Scholastic Area: I+II= 100 marks.
  2. Internal assessment : 20 marks (a+b+c)

    This includes

  1. a) Two Periodic Written Tests and One Mid-Term  in the entire academic year and the average of the best two  will be taken  and have  a weightage of 5 marks.
  2. b) Portfolio having a weightage of 5 marks assessed on the basis of regularity, assignment completion, neatness and upkeep of notebook.
  3. c) Multiple Assessment having weightage of 5 marks on the basis of observation, oral tests, individual or group work, class discussion, field-work, concept maps, graphic organizers, visual representation etc
  4. d) Subject Enrichment Activities like Speaking and Listening skills for languages, Practical Lab work for Science, Math Lab Practical work, Map Work and Project Work for Social Science etc. will have a  weightage of 5 marks
  5. e) Final Exam: 80 marks

Assessment for Std XI:

It includes Two Unit Tests for 50 marks (UT1 and UT2 of 25 marks each) and Two Term Exams (70/80,100 marks respectively)


Promotion Policy

Std I to V
The child will be promoted to next higher class as per his/her overall performance.

 Std VI to IX
For promotion to the next class, a student has to secure 33 % marks out of 80 marks and 33% marks out of overall 20 marks earmarked in each subject as per CBSE guidelines.

Std XI
For promotion to Std XII, a student has to secure an average of 33 % marks in Theory (2 UT’s and Theory of Term I and Term II)  as well as 33% marks in Practicals separately in each subject.

It is compulsory to appear in all the examinations.
