सिलवासा:लायंस इंग्लिश स्कूल में 26 दिसंबर 2024,बृहस्पतिवार को क्रिसमस का पर्व हर्षोल्लास के साथ मनाया गया।स्कूल को क्रिसमस ट्री और अन्य सजावट की वस्तुओं से सजाया गया एवं प्रभु ईसा मसीह के जन्मस्थान की झांकी बनाई गई।विद्यालय की प्रार्थना सभा में बच्चों को क्रिसमस से संबंधित जानकारी देते हुए बताया गया कि क्रिसमस के दिन ईसाई धर्म के संस्थापक ईसा मसीह अर्थात जीसस क्राइस्ट का जन्म हुआ था। इसलिए इस दिन को उनके जन्मदिन के रूप में मनाते हैं |आज के इस अवसर पर विद्यार्थियों ने गीत (जिंगल बेल्स) प्रस्तुत किया तथा सांता क्लॉज़ ने बच्चों को टॉफियां और उपहार बांटे व उन्हें क्रिसमस की बधाई दी।विद्यालय की प्रभारी प्रधानाचार्या श्रीमती निराली पारेख जी ने छात्रों का उत्साह बढ़ाया। इस अवसर पर संस्था के अध्यक्ष महोदय श्री फतेहसिंहजी चौहान,उपाध्यक्ष महोदय श्री अनंतरावजी डी निकम, कोषाध्यक्ष श्री विश्वेष दवे,शिक्षकगण एवं विद्यार्थी उपस्थित रहे।

An insightful Teacher Upgradation Programme was conducted at Lions English School on 30th November 2024, attended by all teachers. The session was led by Prof. Dinesh Gupta, a renowned TEDx speaker and Guinness Record holder. Prof. Gupta was warmly welcomed by I/c Principal Mrs. Nirali Parekh, with a bouquet.
The workshop focused on key areas such as the National Education Policy (NEP), innovative teaching methods, classroom engagement and student psychology. Prof. Gupta enriched the session with videos, activities, tricks and live examples, making it interactive and impactful.
As a gesture of gratitude, a token of appreciation was presented to Prof. Gupta by the Hon’ble Chairman Shri Fatehsinhji Chauhan and Secretary Shri Kuldeepsingh Moondra. The session provided valuable insights and practical strategies, leaving teachers inspired and motivated.

A Heartfelt Tribute to Gandhiji and Shastriji
The joint celebration of Gandhiji and Shastriji Jayanti was organised on 2nd October 2024 by Lions English School, Smt. Devkiba Mohansinhji Chauhan College of Commerce and Science, and Haveli Institute of Legal Studies and Research. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Hon’ble Chairman Shri Fatehsinhji Chauhan, Hon’ble Vice Chairman Shri Anantraoji D. Nikam, respected members of the Trust, I/c Principals and Vice Principals of the colleges, the I/c Principal of our school, the staff and students from all three institutions, and parents.
The ceremony began with the garlanding of the portraits of Mahatma Gandhiji and Lal Bahadur Shastriji, symbolizing respect and admiration for the remarkable contributions of these two great leaders. This was followed by a variety of cultural performances, including inspiring speeches, thought-provoking skits, and melodious songs performed by students and staff from both the school and colleges. The highlight of the programme was the Sarvadharma Prarthana, beautifully rendered by the students, which marked the principles of unity and harmony.
As part of the celebrations, winners of various interschool competitions were felicitated for their commendable performances. Another special moment of the ceremony was the presentation of the Swachhta Seva Prashisti to the most dedicated domestic staff from each institution, in recognition of their commitment to cleanliness and service. The awardees included Ms. Asha Talekar from Lions English School, Ms. Rekha Prajapati from Smt. Devkiba Mohansinhji Chauhan College of Commerce and Science, and Ms. Santosh Meena from Haveli Institute of Legal Studies and Research.
In his address, Hon’ble Chairman Shri Fatehsinhji Chauhan expressed his joy and pride in commemorating the birth anniversaries of two visionary leaders whose lives continue to inspire generations. He emphasized the significance of imbibing Gandhiji’s values of non-violence and Shastriji’s ideals of simplicity and service to the nation. He also reflected on Shastriji’s iconic slogan, ‘Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan,’ highlighting its timeless relevance in today’s context.
The event concluded with a sincere vote of thanks delivered by the Gujarati HOD, Mrs. Harsha Bhandari, followed by the singing of the National Anthem. As a gesture of celebration, sweets were distributed to all attendees, which included special birthday sweets to mark the birthday of Hon’ble Vice Chairman Shri Anantraoji D. Nikam, adding a personal touch to the day’s festivities.
The programme was a fitting tribute to Gandhiji and Shastriji, celebrating not only their legacy but also the values of dedication, service and excellence they stood for.

Lions English School, along with Smt. Devkiba Mohansinhji Chauhan College of Commerce & Science and Haveli Institute of Legal Studies and Research, celebrated the festival of Onam with great enthusiasm on 11th September 2024. The dignitaries and guests were warmly welcomed by a representation of King Mahabali, symbolizing the spirit of the festival and setting the tone for the traditional celebrations.
The programme officially commenced with the lighting of the lamp, marking the beginning of the celebration. The event was graced by Hon’ble Chairman Shri Fatehsinhji Chauhan, Secretary Shri Kuldeep Singh Moondra, Joint Secretary Shri Jayendrasinh Rathod, Joint Treasurer Shri Hirabhai Patel, I/c Principal of the school, I/c Principals and Vice Principals of the colleges, and the staff from both the school and colleges. Most attendees wore the traditional attire of Kerala, enhancing the festive atmosphere.
The celebration featured vibrant dance performances, melodious songs, and a captivating skit depicting the story of King Mahabali. One of the highlights of the event was the traditional Thiruvathira dance, which showcased the rich cultural heritage of Kerala. Various games were organized, and the excitement continued with a friendly tug of war that invited staff members to participate.
In his speech, Hon’ble Chairman Shri Fatehsinhji Chauhan praised the efforts put into organizing the event and emphasized the beauty and diversity of India’s colourful cultural traditions. The vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Seema Pillai, I/c Principal of Smt. Devkiba Mohansinhji Chauhan College of Commerce & Science.

On 6th September 2024, Lions English School, in collaboration with Smt. Devkiba Mohansinhji Chauhan College of Commerce & Science and Haveli Institute of Legal Studies and Research, Silvassa, celebrated Teachers’ Day with great enthusiasm. The event was graced by the presence of Hon’ble Chairman Shri Fatehsinhji Chauhan, as the Chief Guest, and Hon’ble Vice-chairman Shri Anantraoji D. Nikam, as the Guest of Honour. Among the dignitaries present were Secretary Shri Kuldeepsingh Moondra, Treasurer Shri Vishvesh Dave, Joint Secretary Shri Jayendrasinh Rathod, along with the I/c Principals and Vice-principals of the colleges, the I/c Principal of the school, staff members, students and special guests.
The celebration commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp. Following this, a series of vibrant cultural performances were showcased, including dance and music by the students. A highlight of the event was the sharing of experiences by two students from std. XII, who took on the role of teachers for the day, giving a heartfelt glimpse into their unique experience. The event also featured fun-filled games for the teachers, adding a spirit of joy and togetherness. The winners of these games were awarded, bringing joy to everyone.
A significant part of the day was the presentation of the prestigious Guru Ratna Award 2024, which recognizes the exceptional overall performance of the teachers. This year’s awardees from the school were Mrs. Mini David from the English Department, representing the Pre-primary and Primary section, Mrs. Suman Choudhary, Head of the Hindi Department and Mrs. Jyoti Rathore from the English Department, representing the Upper Primary, Secondary, and Higher Secondary section. In addition to the Guru Ratna Award, the Management introduced a special Performance Increment to acknowledge teachers who demonstrated exceptional performance based on the same criteria used for the Award.
From Smt. Devkiba Mohansinhji Chauhan College of Commerce & Science, Ms. Maitary Mahto, Head of the B.Com Department, and Ms. Rinkal Parmar, Head of the Zoology Department, were honoured with the Gururatna Award. Additionally, Dr. Seema Pillai, I/c Principal, received special recognition for her participation in the prestigious Global Education Conference, where she presented her research paper. From the Haveli Institute of Legal Studies and Research, the Gururatna Award was presented to Dr. Nisha Parekh, Head of the Academic Council.
The Secretary, during his address, highlighted the vital role of teachers as the backbone of society and emphasized their respect across cultures and histories, and the essence of being a true Guru. He spoke about the importance of laying a strong foundation for students. The Hon’ble Vice-chairman extended his warm wishes to all teachers, emphasizing that education and knowledge would not be possible without them. He read a moving excerpt from a speech by Abraham Lincoln, the 16th President of the USA, highlighting the important role of educators in shaping society. The Hon’ble Chairman conveyed his appreciation to all teachers, noting that teachers shape individuals and contribute to society’s betterment. He also expressed his commitment to ensuring teacher well-being to maintain the quality of education, while extending his heartfelt congratulations to the Guru Ratna awardees and Performance Increment recipients. He gave special recognition to Mrs. Jyoti Rathore for her work on the school anthem.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mrs. Rakhi Parmar, Head of the Computer Department, followed by the National Anthem. The event ended on a joyful note with a buffet lunch served for all participants and staff members.

The Investiture Ceremony of Lions English School, Silvassa, for the academic year 2024-25 was held on 28/08/2024, with great enthusiasm and solemnity. The event marked a significant milestone in the school’s calendar as it symbolized the formal delegation of responsibility to the newly elected Student Council.
The ceremony began with a moment of pride as the newly composed School Anthem was introduced. This Anthem, beautifully written by Mrs. Jyoti Rathore of the English Department and composed by Mrs. Renu Sharma, Head of the Music Department, set the tone for the event, embodying the spirit and values that the school holds dear.
Following the Anthem, the ceremonial lighting of the lamp took place. Then, a warm welcome was extended to all present, including the Chief Guest Hon’ble Chairman Shri Fatehsinhji Chauhan, Guest of Honour Hon’ble Vice-chairman Shri Anantraoji D Nikam, esteemed members of the Trust, I/c Principals and I/c Vice-principals of the Colleges, I/c Principal of the School, parents and the school staff and students.
The highlight of the event was the Investiture Ceremony itself, where the old and new Student Council members marched forward to the drum beats and took their positions. It proceeded with the formal handover of responsibilities from the outgoing Student Council to the newly elected members. The new council members, adorned with sashes and badges, took the oath of office, pledging to uphold the principles and integrity of the school. They vowed to perform their duties with dedication and to be role models for their peers. The outgoing council members were honoured with certificates, acknowledging their dedication and service over the past year.
After the formal handover, the esteemed dignitaries addressed the assembly. Hon’ble Vice-chairman Shri Anantraoji D Nikam expressed his appreciation and congratulated the students on their achievements. He commended the outgoing Student Council and encouraged the newly elected members to lead with integrity. Hon’ble Chairman Shri Fatehsinhji Chauhan then expressed his happiness regarding the introduction of elections for selecting the Head Boy and Head Girl. He emphasized the importance of this democratic process in raising awareness among the students and appreciated the initiative. He also extended his congratulations to the new council members.
The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by I/c Principal Mrs. Nirali Parekh. Following this, the National Anthem was played, filling the atmosphere with a deep sense of patriotism. The day’s proceedings were a blend of pride, dedication and the promise of a bright future under the capable leadership of the new Student Council. The spirit of Janmashtami filled the air at Lions English School on 24th August 2024, as the school celebrated the occasion with great enthusiasm and devotion, seeking the blessings of Lord Krishna. The event was filled with joy and excitement as students and staff came together to celebrate the birth of Lord Krishna.
The celebration began with a traditional aarti, offering homage to Lord Krishna. The students of the Kindergarten section added a special touch to the event by dressing up as Lord Krishna and Radha, delighting everyone with their charming and adorable appearances.
The highlight of the programme was the inter-house Dahi Handi competition, a lively event featuring active participation from House Captains, Vice-captains, the Head Boy, Head Girl and teachers. Students eagerly formed pyramids, demonstrating teamwork and determination to break the Dahi Handi, symbolizing Lord Krishna’s playful and adventurous spirit.

Devkiba Mohansinhji Chauhan College of Commerce & Science, and Haveli Institute of Legal Studies and Research, Silvassa, jointly celebrated the 78th Independence Day of our nation with great enthusiasm and patriotism. The event was graced by the presence of the Hon’ble Chairman Shri Fatehsinhji Chauhan, as the Chief Guest, and the Hon’ble Vice-chairman Shri Anantraoji D. Nikam, as the Guest of Honour.
The celebration commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag by the Chief Guest Shri Fatehsinhji Chauhan, followed by the singing of the National Anthem and the Jhanda Geet. The children from the KG section of the school added a touch of innocence and pride to the occasion by offering flags to the dignitaries. The event saw the distinguished attendance of the members of the Trust, the I/c Principals and I/c Vice-principals of the colleges, the I/c Principal of the school, school and college staff, students, guests and parents.
The cultural programme included various performances such as dances, songs and speeches by the students of both the school and the colleges. A highlight of the event was the soulful rendition of the iconic patriotic song “Ae Mere Watan Ke Logon” by Mrs. Renu Sharma, HOD of the Music Department, which captivated the audience with its patriotic fervor.
The prize distribution ceremony followed, where students were awarded for their achievements in the Interschool English Competition – SpeakFest 2024, the competitions conducted by Smt. Devkiba Mohansinhji Chauhan College of Commerce and Science as part of India’s first National Space Day celebrations, and the Tiranga Run organized by the Department of Sports and Youth Affairs. A memorable highlight of the event was when Joint Secretary Shri Jayendrasinh Rathod presented a beautifully framed tribute to the Hon’ble Chairman. This gesture, filled with heartfelt words of appreciation, symbolized his profound respect and admiration for Hon’ble Chairman’s leadership and enduring commitment.

Nikam, paid tribute to the unsung heroes of India’s freedom struggle, emphasized the importance of history for future generations, and extended his best wishes to everyone present. The Chief Guest Shri Fatehsinhji Chauhan, praised the performances of the young students, expressed gratitude to the freedom fighters for their sacrifices, spoke about the significance of this year’s theme, and expressed pride in the nation’s development. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mrs. Preeti Vyas, HOD of the Commerce Department, followed by the National Anthem. As a symbol of freedom and unity, the dignitaries released tricolour balloons into the sky, marking the end of the celebration. Sweets and refreshments were served to all.

The Social Science Expedition, held on 19th and 20th April, 2024, at Lions English School, was a remarkable showcase of student talent and academic excellence. The event aimed to provide a platform for students to explore and present their understanding of various Social Science topics. Our Chief Guest Hon’ble Chairman Shri Fatehsinhji Chauhan inaugurated the Exhibition on 19th April, 2024. The Guest of Honour Hon’ble Vice-chairman Shri Anantraoji D. Nikam, members of the Trust, I/c Principals and I/c Vice-principals of our colleges, and Judges graced the occasion, enriching the event with their presence.
The exhibition featured a diverse array of exhibits, including working models, static models and charts, each offering unique insights into topics ranging from History and Culture to Geography, Economics, Political Science, Disaster Management, etc. Judges Mrs. Sumitraben Desai, a National Award-winning teacher and Mrs. Sonia James, a Social Science mentor from Father Agnelo School, evaluated the projects with diligence and expertise. Students from various schools were invited to visit the exhibition, providing an opportunity for knowledge exchange and interaction.
On the second day of the Exhibition i.e 20th April 2024, a Prize Distribution Ceremony was held to recognize and reward the outstanding achievements of the students. The Exhibition featured two distinct groups: Group A comprised students from std III to VII, while Group B included students from std VIII to X. Winners were recognized separately for their achievements in working models, static models and charts. Additionally, all participants received appreciation gifts for their contributions and efforts.

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Lions English School, Silvassa, on 19th February, 2024. The event was graced by the presence of our Secretary Shri Kuldeepsingh Moondra and Joint Secretary Shri Hirabhai Patel. The programme was attended by the I/c Principal of Smt. Devkiba Mohansinhji Chauhan College of Commerce and Science, Mrs Seema Pillai, Vice-principal of Haveli Institute of Legal Studies and Research, Mrs Shilpa Tiwari, I/c Principal of our School Mrs Nirali Parekh, and students and teachers of the school.
The programme commenced with the traditional lamp lighting ceremony. The students showcased their talents through speech, poem and a skit, all depicting the exemplary life of Shivaji Maharaj. Additionally, a captivating Power Point presentation further enriched the audience’s understanding of Shivaji’s legacy and achievements.
Secretary sir delivered an enlightening speech, emphasizing the enduring values and leadership lessons embodied by Shivaji Maharaj. A heartfelt vote of thanks marked the conclusion of the event, followed by the rendition of the National Anthem.

The Farewell Party for the outgoing batch (2023-24) of std XII, at Lions English School on 9th February 2024, was a memorable event filled with nostalgia, celebration and encouragement for the future endeavours of the departing students.
The event was graced by esteemed dignitaries, with our Hon’ble Chairman Shri Fatehsinhji M Chauhan presiding as the Chief Guest and our Hon’ble Vice-chairman Shri Anantraoji D Nikam serving as the Guest of Honour. Additionally, members of the Trust and I/c Principals and HODs of our colleges were also present, with I/c Principal, teachers and std XI & XII students of the school, adding to the significance of the occasion.
Organized collaboratively by the Management, I/c Principal, teachers and students of std XI, the party commenced with the distribution of badges to all students of std XII, serving as a token of remembrance inscribed with the words ‘Proud Lionite Forever’. The ceremony began with the traditional lighting of the lamp. This was followed by captivating performances including dances and songs by both students and teachers.
To add an element of fun and excitement, various games were arranged exclusively for std XII students. A highlight of the evening was the ‘Mr. and Miss Lionite’ contest, where students competed for the prestigious titles, embodying the spirit and values of the school.
In recognition of outstanding achievements, Miss Sonali Chauhan, the National-level winner for folk dance, was felicitated, inspiring fellow students with her remarkable accomplishment.
An interactive session titled ‘Pareeksha Prerna – Safalta ki Udaan’ was organized, aiming to address students’ queries related to exams and motivate them towards academic success, reflecting the school’s commitment to holistic education.
Moreover, as an informative piece for the students, presentations were delivered by our two affiliated colleges Smt. Devkiba Mohansinhji Chauhan College of Commerce and Science and Haveli Institute of Legal Studies and Research, providing insights into their respective programmes, facilities and opportunities, empowering std XII students with valuable information for their future academic pursuits.

Lions English School, Smt. Devkiba Mohansinhji Chauhan College of Commerce & Science and Haveli Institute of Legal Studies and Research, Silvassa celebrated the 75th Republic Day with great enthusiasm and patriotism. Hon’ble Chief Guest Shri Fatehsinhji Chauhan, esteemed Guest of Honour Shri Anantraoji D. Nikam, Members of the Trust, dignitaries, parents and staff members and students of school and colleges were present for the same.
The ceremony began with the majestic unfurling of the Tricolour by the esteemed Guest of Honour Shri Anantraoji D. Nikam, accompanied by the soul-stirring rendition of the National Anthem and Jhanda Geet. This symbolic act marked the beginning of a day dedicated to commemorating the principles of justice, liberty, equality and fraternity enshrined in our Constitution.
The cultural extravaganza unfolded as students from diverse backgrounds showcased their talents through various performances.
The students of the four Houses, along with NCC and NSS students, participated in a disciplined and synchronized march past to the patriotic tunes played by the school band, showcasing their commitment to duty and discipline. This was followed by impressive drill performances on instrumental music and colourful props, displaying the dedication and hard work put in by the students to perfect their routines.
The programme featured plenty of presentations, including yoga demonstrations, group songs, a karate exhibition and a mesmerizing group dance by the youngest members of the school, the KG students. Each presentation highlighted the cultural diversity and talent present within the student body.
The Hon’ble Guest of Honour delivered an inspiring speech, emphasizing the significance of the Constitution and the values it upholds. The address served as a reminder of the responsibilities that come with the rights granted by our democratic framework.

लायंस इंग्लिश स्कूल की प्रभारी प्रधानाचार्या श्रीमती निराली पारेख जी, श्रीमती देवकीबा मोहन सिंह जी चौहान कॉलेज ऑफ़ कॉमर्स एंड साइंस कॉलेज की प्रभारी प्राचार्या श्रीमती सीमा पिल्लई जी एवं हवेली इंस्टिट्यूट ऑफ़ लीगल स्टडीज की उप प्राचार्या श्रीमती शिल्पा तिवारी जी एवं लायंस इंग्लिश स्कूल के सभी शिक्षकगण सम्मिलित हुए। अयोध्यापति प्रभु श्री राम लला की आरती के उपरांत कार्यक्रम का शुभारंभ किया गया। तदोपरांत प्रभु श्री राम के जीवन के सरस प्रसंग की जीवंत प्रस्तुति विद्यालय के छात्रगण द्वारा रामोत्सव के माध्यम से प्रस्तुत की गई। छात्रगण के द्वारा इस उत्कृष्ट एवं जीवंत अभिनय ने पूरे ही प्रांगण को राममय कर दिया। विद्यालय के छात्र-छात्राओं की इस प्रस्तुति को देखकर उपस्थित सभी लोग भाव-विभोर हो गए और परिसर का पूरा वातावरण रामनाम में सराबोर हो गया। आज के इस पावन पर्व पर महाविद्यालय के छात्रगण द्वारा भी प्रभु श्री राम के जीवन पर आधारित भजन प्रस्तुत किया गया। इसके पश्चात विद्यालय के माननीय सभापति महोदय श्री फतेह सिंह जी चौहान ने विद्यालय के सचिव श्री ए. आर. नारायण जी की दिवंगत आत्मा की शांति हेतु अपने शब्द सुमन द्वारा श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित की। परम आदरणीय अध्यक्ष महोदय श्री फतेह सिंह जी चौहान जी ने अपने वक्तव्य में प्रभु श्री राम लाल की प्राण प्रतिष्ठा के संबंध में बताते हुए कहा कि 500 वर्षों के कड़े संघर्ष के बाद आखिर वह पुण्य दिन आ ही गया जब प्रभु श्रीराम को उनके जन्मस्थल अयोध्या के भव्य मंदिर में उनकी प्राण प्रतिष्ठा स्थापित की गई। तथा उन्होंने रामायण के हर एक पात्र से प्रेरणा लेने की सीख दी। अपने संबोधन में उन्होंने यह भी बताया कि हमें सदैव सत्य ,नीति और धर्म के साथ जीवन में आगे बढ़ना चाहिए तथा अपने आराध्य प्रभु श्री राम के पदचिन्हों पर चलते हुए अपने वचन एवं कर्म से मर्यादित रहना चाहिए। इस पावन पर्व पर आदरणीय अध्यक्ष महोदय जी ने छात्र-छात्राओं की प्रशंसा करते हुए उनका उत्साहवर्धन किया। तदोपरांत लायंस इंग्लिश स्कूल के प्रांगण में भव्य दीपोत्सव के साथ इस कार्यक्रम का समापन हुआ।

लायंस क्लब ऑफ सिलवासा चैरिटेबल ट्रस्ट के अध्यक्ष महोदय माननीय श्री फतेहसिंह जी चौहान जी की अध्यक्षता में उपस्थित सभी अतिथियों का स्वागत किया गया । कार्यक्रम का शुभारंभ दीप प्रज्वलन के साथ विद्यालय के उपाध्यक्ष महोदय श्री अनंत राव डी निकम के प्रारंभिक भाषण के बाद किया गया। विद्यालय के छात्र-छात्राओं द्वारा रंगारंग सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम प्रस्तुत किया जिसमें आकर्षण का केंद्र बिंदु श्रीरामोत्सव था जिसे देखकर कार्यक्रम में उपस्थित सभी लोग भाव- विभोर हो गए और परिसर का वातावरण पूरा राममय हो गया। इस विशेष अवसर पर विद्यालय में अधिकतम अंक पाने वाले छात्र-छात्राओं को सम्मानित किया गया। मुख्य अतिथि महोदय ने सभी कार्यक्रमों की प्रशंसा की और अपने वक्तव्य में बताया कि ‘रघुकुल रीति की तरह अपने वचन पर अडिग रहना चाहिए और आदर्शों के साथ अपने जीवन में आगे बढ़ना चाहिए। हवेली फाउंडेशन के सेक्रेटरी श्री अभिषेक सिंह फतेहसिंह चौहान जी ने श्रीमती देवकीबा मोहन सिंह जी चौहान कॉलेज ऑफ कॉमर्स एंड साइंस को 51लाख तथा हवेली इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ लीगल स्ट्डीज एंड रिसर्च को 51लाख रुपए की धन राशि का अनुदान दिया जिसके लिए उन्हें स्मृति चिन्ह से सम्मानित किया गया। इस भव्य समारोह में भारतीय संस्कृति एवं परंपरा के विभिन्न रूपों की झलक को लोक कला शैली के अंतर्गत मराठी, बिहू, हरियाणवी एवं गुजराती नृत्यों के माध्यम से प्रस्तुत किया गया। तत्पश्चात लायंस क्लब आफ सिलवासा चैरिटेबल ट्रस्ट के अध्यक्ष श्री फतेह सिंह जी चौहान ने सभी अभिभावकों एवं विद्यार्थियों का हृदय से आभार व्यक्त करते हुए अपने संबोधन में बताया कि 40 साल पहले रौंपा हुआ एक छोटा सा बीज बोया आज एक विशाल वट वृक्ष के बनकर अपनी शाखाएं श्रीमती देवकीबा मोहन सिंह चौहान कॉलेज ऑफ कॉमर्स एंड साइंस एवं हवेली इंस्टीट्यूट आफ लीगल रिसर्च कॉलेज रूप में फैला चुका हैं। साल 1983 में एक किराए के मकान में आरंभ किया गया लायंस इंग्लिश स्कूल आज मुंबई और सूरत के मध्य का सबसे बड़ा विद्यालय बन चुका है। आज हमारे इस विद्यालय में लगभग 5000 विद्यार्थी अध्ययनरत हैं तथा लगभग 300 व्यक्ति अपनी जीविका कमा रहे हैं।कॉलेज और विद्यालय को मिलाकर लगभग 7000 विद्यार्थी शिक्षा ग्रहण कर रहे हैं। माननीय अध्यक्ष महोदय ने सभी सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रमों की भूरि-भूरि प्रशंसा की एवं सभी छात्र-छात्राओं का उत्साह वर्धन किया और उनके उज्जवल भविष्य के लिए शुभकामनाएं दी।

Students and staff of Lions English School, Smt. Devkiba Mohansinhji Chauhan College of Commerce & Science, and Haveli Institute of Legal Studies and Research, Silvassa, celebrated Dadra & Nagar Haveli’s 70th Liberation Day with patriotic fervour. As the day’s Chief Guest, Hon’ble Chairman Shri Fatehsinhji M. Chauhan raised the National Flag. Vice-Chairman Shri A. D. Nikam was the Guest of Honour for the day. The event was attended by members of the Trust, dignitaries, staff members and students from the School and Colleges.
Following the hoisting of the flag, the National Anthem, Jhanda Geet, patriotic music, a skit, and speeches delivered by students stirred everyone’s feelings for the land. The Chief Guest and the Guest of Honour then gave motivational remarks, appealing to the patriotism of the crowd and recalling the history of Dadra & Nagar Haveli. The National Anthem brought the programme to a close, and everyone received sweets.

The Investiture Ceremony for the academic year 2023-24 took place at Lions English School on July 26, 2023.
Hon’ble Chairman Shri Fatehsinhji M Chauhan was the Chief Guest and Vice-chairman Shri A. D. Nikam was the Guest of Honour for the day. Members of the Trust, parents, I/c Principal and Vice-principal of our colleges, and I/c Principal, staff members and students of the School were present for the same.
The dignitaries lit the lamp to start off the ceremony. The new council then marched towards their positions to the pounding of the drum. The Chief Guest and the Guest of Honour administered the oath to the new members of the Council and they pledged to adhere to the values and principles upheld by the school. The members of the Students’ Council of 2022-23 conferred the sashes and badges to the new Students’ Council. In addition to signing the affirmation, the newly chosen Head boy and Head girl addressed the gathering.
The newly appointed members of the Students’ Council were congratulated by the Chief Guest, the Guest of Honour and the I/c Principal of the school. Their words of advice were highly motivating. The National Anthem marked the ceremony’s conclusion. Refreshments were served to all the members of the Students’ Council.

Lions English School, Smt. Devkiba Mohansinhji Chauhan College of Commerce & Science and Haveli Institute of Legal Studies and Research, Silvassa organised ‘Run for Unity’ on 30th October 2022 to commemorate the birth anniversary of the ‘Iron Man’ of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. It not only commemorates the birth anniversary, but also reaffirms the inherent strength and resilience of our people to withstand threats to the security, unity and integrity of the country.
The event started at 8:00am in the school campus with the oath to protect the unity and integrity of India. After that, our Joint Secretary Shri Jayendrasinh Rathod and Joint Treasurer Shri Hirabhai Patel flagged off the Run. Students and staff of the school and colleges enthusiastically participated in it, spreading the message of integration.

Onam
Onam was celebrated by the students and staff of Lions English School with great pomp and show. The day began with flower rangoli and Our Hon’ble Chairman Shri Fatehsinhji M Chauhan lighted the lamp and wished everyone a very happy Onam. The teachers wore golden bordered traditional Kerala sarees. Group song was sung by the teachers in the assembly. Everyone wished each other a happy Onam.
Candle March
As a proud Republic of India, Lions English School celebrated its 70th year of freedom by spreading the colour of patriotism on the streets of Silvassa with a tag “70 saal azaadi ke, yaad karo kurbani”. A candle march was organized by the students and staff of Lions English School to celebrate our freedom and to pay a heartfelt tribute to our martyrs. The march was flagged off by Hon’ble Chairman Shri. Fatehsinhji M. Chauhan. The candle march proceeded through the streets of Silvassa covering app. 5 -6 kms. The candle march reached Lions English School campus with full enthusiasm, vigour and respect.

On the occasion of World Environment day Hon’ble Minister Shri. Mohanbhai Kundaliya graced our school by his presence on 9th June 2016. To spread the message of Green India plantation was done by all the dignitaries.

To bring about a change in the teaching strategies and to make teaching and learning easier, various workshops were conducted in the school for all staff members.
Grandparents’ Day
Grandparents are family’s greatest treasure, the founders of a loving legacy, the keepers of traditions. Grandparents are the family’s strong foundation. To honour them our school celebrated Grandparents’ Day. The function commenced by lighting the lamp with the august hands of our Hon’ble Chief Guest Shri Fatehsinhji M. Chauhan, Vice Chairman Shri A. D. Nikam, Secretary Shri Devdasbhai R. Shah, Joint Treasurer Shri A. Narayanan, Managing Committee Member Shri Jayendrasinh Rathod, college Principal Dr. Ambadas Jadhav and school Principal Shri P. Dhanasekaran.
Students presented heart touching songs and dance. Games were conducted for grandparents. The winners were awarded with gifts by the dignitaries. Appropriate music and enthusiastic grandparent – grandchild combinations made this event a runaway hit with all those present. Our Chief Guest thanked the grandparents for attending the programme. It was a successful event indeed, and the school as always would be pleased to organize many more such events. The programme ended with National Anthem followed by a grand dinner.
Cleanliness Campaign
In honour of our Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modi’s birthday, Lions English School organised a ‘Cleanliness Campaign’ with a Motto ‘Clean Surrounding; My Responsibility’. Hon’ble Chairman Shri Fatehsinhji M Chauhan and members of the trust graced the event with their valuable presence. Nearly 400 staff members of Lions English School actively participated in the campaign to create awareness among the people for a clean and green surrounding. They said slogans and pasted the stickers regarding cleanliness for awareness among all and to understand our responsibility towards our country.

लायंस इंग्लिश स्कूल के प्रांगण में हिंदी दिवस उत्साह के साथ मनाया गया। इस अवसर पर हिंदी काव्य पाठ एवं वाक् प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन किया गया। इस अवसर पर सचिव श्री देवदास भाई शाह उपस्थित हुए एवं उनके कर कमलों द्वारा दीप प्रज्वलन कर कार्यक्रम का शुभारंभ किया गया। लायंस इंग्लिश स्कूल के माननीय सभापति महोदय कार्यक्रम में प्रत्यक्ष रूप से उपस्थित नहीं थे किंतु परोक्ष रूप से उन्होंने अपनी उपस्थिति जताई और सभी प्रतिभागियों को शुभकामनाएँ दी तथा सभी प्रतिभागियों ने हिंदी भाषा के योगदान पर अपनी उत्कृष्ट विचार प्रस्तुत किए एवं लयबद्ध काव्य पाठ प्रस्तुत किया। विजयी प्रतिभागियों को ट्रॉफी और प्रमाण पत्र से सम्मानित किया गया। एवं सभी प्रतिभागियों को प्रमाण पत्र देकर उनका उत्साहवर्धन किया गया। तत्पश्चात राष्ट्रगान के साथ कार्यक्रम संपन्न हुआ।
Annual Sports Day
The much awaited Annual Sports day was held on 12th January 2018 with great zeal, excitement and frolicsome atmosphere. The programme commenced with the hoisting of the school flag by the Hon’ble Chief Guest Shri Fatehsinhji M. Chauhan and the Guest of Honour Shri A.D. Nikam. They lighted the torch and declared the Sports Meet Open. They also took the salute of the impressive March Past of the four houses and the scouts and guides coupled with some stirring marching music by the band. Secretary Shri Devdasbhai Shah , Treasurer Shri Vishvesh Dave, Managing Committee Members Shri A. Narayanan, Dr. Chhatrasinh M. Chauhan , Shri Jayendrasinh Rathod and Silvassa Municipal Council Vice President Shri Ajaybhai Desai graced the occasion. All the dignitaries released the tricolour balloons followed by the oath administered by the sports captain. The programme then continued with the drill exercise on the instrumental music and colourful props. Students presented yoga exercise and pyramid formations. Toppers of Std. X and XII and winners of the various competition at International and National level were bestowed with trophy, cash prizes and certificates. The Annual Report of the school was read out by I/c. Principal Mrs. Nirali Parekh. The Annual Magazine 2017 was released on this special occasion.
Students from K.G. to Std. XI competed in events including sprints, relays, sack race , obstacle race , skipping race etc. and winners were awarded with medals and certificates. Fun time with a tug of war between the four houses added to the enjoyment.
The overall Champion House Trophy from Primary section was awarded to the Nehru House and from Secondary and Higher Secondary Section was awarded to Tagore House. Students made stupendous achievements in sports. The Programme ended with vote of thanks and National Anthem.
Science Exhibition
Education in today’s scenario aims at the holistic development of the children. Pragmatic approach to education imparts learning by doing and experiencing things. With the key objective of bringing out the hidden talents of students and with a focus on creating more awareness of science and technology, a science exhibition “MIND SPARK” was organised in our school campus. The programme commenced with lighting of the lamp by Hon’ble Chief Guest Shri. Fatehsinhji M. Chauhan , Secretary Shri Devdasbhai R.Shah and Managing Committee Member Shri Jayendrasinh Rathod. 270 students from std VI to XII from the school displayed their innovative talents by presenting static models, working models, charts and posters, covering various sub themes like health, resource management, food and security, waste management, water body conservation, digital and technological solutions to various issues etc young minds had. Students of various institutions were invited for the same and our young minds had shown great enthusiasm in sharing their knowledge with them. Winners of different categories were awarded with cash prizes and certificates.

Atal Tinkering Lab Inaguration
